Sunday made up for it by going to the gym. Then I nearly wrecked my back deadlifting 120 kg (264 lbs).
I then hobbled to the library, where my student and I did writing practice. We gave up on the usual methods, and now we're writing paragraphs with a strong topic sentence followed by details. I bring newspaper articles, and she finds one that inspires her. Today, she saw a rather dull article about the new raccoon-proof organic waste bins that we'll be using starting next year. She then wrote some paragraphs starting with:
Our city is facing a raccoon crisis!
Raccoons are holding Torontonians hostage!
